What else can we do for you?

We really enjoy working with clients and groups and helping them with their genealogy and historical research. Maybe there's more we can do for you that isn't listed on this site. Maybe you need some background pictures or maps; or maybe you just want some helping thinking through the structure of a book, or a documentary video. Or perhaps you'd like a pamphlet or a poster designed for a family gathering, or a newsletter. Maybe you'd like us to write a song!

Try us next time you have a genealogy need. If we can help, we'll tell you. If we can't we'll try to put you on to someone who might be able to help.

Family reunions

If you come from a large family and you're thinking of organising a family reunion, we can help by producing large colour-coded display charts, so that all the visitors can work out where they fit in to the family. And we can produce display folders of all the charts as a souvenir of the day. Naturally we'll need family information to work with, so there's a degree of planning and data-gathering involved. Talk to us about your plans and see if we can help you make this an even more memorable event.

Family Tree Charts

Colourful and vivid in a range of configurations, we can produce gloriously illustrated charts that show your ancestors, relatives, descendants, or just your close family. We can add graphics such as maps, photographs, copies of documents (such as wills, certificates, extracts from old records, etc), or explanatory text to the charts. Here's an example of a simple pedigree chart.

Historical research

Because of our interest and expertise in both history and research methods, we can explore historical records of the times and locations of your ancestors for you, and create background material to boost your understanding of your ancestors' lives. This can be particularly helpful if you are planning to write a book (or make a video) about the life and times of your past relatives. What was it like living where they did at the time? What was their work like? What was the economy doing? What did they eat? Why did they move? Research can give insights into questions like these... maybe not the exact answers, but pointers in the right directions.

Talks and Lectures

We enjoy the opportunity to talk to groups about genealogy, or history. We have a number of 30-45 minute talks that we present regularly, including:

• Stepping stones to the past - an introduction to the basics of genealogy
• Genes and genealogy - how science is helping us unravel our ancestors
• Strangers on the Shore - dramatic tales (and songs) from Western Australia's maritime past
